One of the most beautiful roads I’ve cycled has to be highway 12 in Utah. From Torrey to Zion National Park, passing via Calf Creek Falls, Bryce Canyon and Red Canyon. We camped all the way. There had been snow a couple of days previously, it was still cold, and the ground still white. By the time we reached Zion though, most of it had melted leaving just a fresh crisp air, beautiful red rocks and autumn leaves under a bright blue sky. Fantastic!
There’s also my blog from this part of the journey and photos too.
