It’s not been the easiest few days getting from Ely in Nevada across to Richfield in Utah. First it was horrendous headwinds, then a cozy warm pub that beckoned us to stay (ok, so that part wasn’t so bad, but it was hard to leave), another puncture for Lars, and a couple more passes. And that was just to the border when it started snowing.
From the border, we took the gravel tracks via Crystal Peak and on to Black Rock, which was the most remote part of the journey yet. And then the snow started again, so it’s been a cold couple of days getting here. So cold in fact, that for only the second time only, I think, I wore trousers to cycle in (and plastic bags on my feet, which still froze)!
Mostly it has been beautiful and we haven’t even made it to any of the National Parks yet. So can’t wait for what’s in store…
Full update coming soon, but for now some photos to enjoy.
